April 10th 2015, Douglas House, Glasgow
After having met Fred Laing of Douglas Laing and Co at Whiskyexpo in Linköping, Sweden in February of 2015 where he made a great impression upon us we decided that we really would like to visit him in the Douglas House for a tasting during our trip to Northern Highlands and the Orkney Islands in April of 2015. When we contacted Fred he warmly welcomed us and also gave us a lot of tips on what to do on our stay in Glasgow.

Febuary 7th 2015, Linköping Whisky-expo
We started the expo with an “Imperial 1995” from ”The Ultimate”. A very nice acquaintanceship, both fruity and tasteful.
The second touchdown were a Teeling 21y. The Irish guys have some good stuff here. Twenty years in bourbon casks and finished with one year in sauternes wine casks. The result was not bad at all. Robust nose with a fully rounded and balanced array of flavors. … [Read more]
